The blogroll returns
There was a time when every personal site carried a short list of other sites the author liked. You followed the links and wandered. One good blog led to three more.
That habit faded when the platforms took over discovery. Why link out when the algorithm would hand you something to look at next?
But the wandering was the best part. A blogroll is a small act of generosity — pointing away from yourself, toward people you think are worth reading. I am glad to see them coming back. The web is more interesting when we recommend each other instead of competing for the same eyes.
