Notes toward a slower web

A page does not need to move to be alive. It does not need to track me, autoplay anything, or beg for my attention before I have read a sentence.

The slow web is just the web without all that. Pages that load at once. Text that sits still. Sites that ask nothing of you except your reading.

I am trying to build my small part of it that way. No popups, no chrome, no manufactured urgency. Just words on a page that respects your time. The faster everything else gets, the more I want one place that simply waits.
